Executive Order 10-132 Extends State of Emergency in coastal counties

1) On April 30, 2010, EO 10-99 declared a state of emergency for Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Bay and Gulf Counties because of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.  On May 3, 2010, EO 10-100 amended EO 10-99 to include Franklin, Wakulla, Jefferson, Taylor, Dixie, Levy, Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee and Sarasota counties. 

Executive Orders - 2010

 

1)  On May 21, Executive Order 10-106 further amended 10-99 which was amended by 10-100 to also include Charlotte, Lee, Collier, Monroe, Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. 

2)  On June 18, the governor issued Executive Order 10-132 extending the state of emergency for 60 days, noting that depending on weather and ocean currents, the disaster poses a potential threat to Florida's entire coastline.   The order expires August 28, 2010.

 

3)  Executive Order 10-132 extended the state of emergency in the coastal counties due to the Gulf oil spill.   This order extended EO 10-99 which was amended by EO 10-100, 10-106, 10-115 and 10-131 for 60 days through August 28, 2010.  All coastal counties from Escambia to Palm Beach were included in this state of emergency.   

 

 

Executive Orders - 2009

1)  Executive Order 09-126 was issued on May 22 due to severe weather including heavy rainfall and flooding.  Counties affected are Brevard, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Lake, Nassau, Orange, Putnam, Seminole, St. Johns and Volusia.   Florida Statute, Section 501.160 (price gouging) is in affect.  This EO will expire July 22.

 

2)  The Governor issued Executive Order 09-114 on May 14.  This is a statewide emergency declaration due to wildfires in Volusia County and drought conditions in Central, South and Southwest Florida.  The order is in effect until July 13.

Price gouging statutes are in effect all over the state.  

THIS ORDER WAS RESCINDED JUNE 9, 2009.

 

3)  Executive Order 09-81 - Expires June 1st 2009

     This order was issued in response to the heavy rainfall in North Florida. This is NOT a statewide order. The following counties are included: Bay, Calhoun, Franklin, Escambia, Gadsden, Gulf, Hamilton, Holmes, Jackson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Taylor, Walton and Washington counties.  Both the Attorney General and the Department of Agriculture interpret that the issuance of any Executive Order automatically kicks in price gouging guidelines.
