URS' Florida offices have specialized expertise in resolving environmental issues related to Florida's Petroleum Marketers. URS has been a State Qualified Cleanup Contractor since the State Petroleum Cleanup Program was initiated in 1984 and is currently responsible for the cleanup of over 200 petroleum contaminated sites in the State of Florida. URS is one of the largest engineering design firms worldwide and a major U.S. federal government contractor. URS has major offices in Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Boca Raton, and Ft. Lauderdale. Additionally, our Team has 19 project offices throughout Florida, which can be utilized as needed to support our Petroleum Site Services work. URS Corporation is one of the leading petroleum cleanup contractors in the Florida Pre-approval Cleanup Program and is the preferred contractor for Exxon-Mobil, BP-Amoco, ConocoPhillips, Shell Oil Company and El Paso Energy (Coastal Mart). URS also provides Petroleum Site Services to a wide range of clients, including Bridgestone Firestone, and Florida Department of Transportation.
