Media Relations

FRF's Office of Communications is responsible for disseminating any and all information on Florida retail-related issues to local, regional, national and international media organizations. The Office coordinates news media requests for information and interviews on FRF issues, positions or events with print, broadcast and digital media. The Office also facilitates the release of all announcements, including preparing all internal and external communication and marketing materials and is responsible for the following:

  • Developing brand awareness for FRF and its brands: the Florida Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association, the Georgia Retail Association, and the Florida Grocers Association
  • Arranging and facilitating media coverage of FRF and its brands
  • Writing and Issuing press releases, tip sheets, and media advisories
  • Coordinating social media and advertising
  • Speech writing
  • Providing content for websites and publicizing special events
  • Promoting FRF experts to the media
  • Promoting FRF and the entire Florida retail industry
  • Assisting members of FRF in their interactions with the media
  • Facilitating media interviews

With more than 270,000 retail businesses employing 2.7 million Floridians, the state's retail industry is responsible for three out of every four budget dollars and one out of every four jobs. And with almost 20 years' experience in communications, media relations, crisis and corporate communications and marketing, FRF's Office of Communications is proud to promote the significant role that retailers and Florida's entire retail industry play in the financial success of the Sunshine State.
