Application Account Set Up
Before you begin the application, you will need to create an account. Once your account is created, you will use it to log in and begin the application process. You will be taken through four steps that will ask you for personal information, information about your education and work experience.

In the last step you will be required to upload several documents. They include:

  • A photo of the applicant
  • An essay (500 - 1000 words) on one of the following topics:
    • Your future education and career goals OR
    • Why you believe you should be a chosen as recipient of the FPMA Scholarship Award
    Essay requirements:
    • Double-spaced
    • 12-pt Arial or Times Roman Font
    • 1” Margins
  • A Resume
  • Letters of Recommendation (2)
  • Documents outlining High School and Post Secondary Extra Curricular Activities
Please prepare your essay before you bein this process. YOU MUST UPLOAD YOUR ESSAY IN THE LAST STEP IN ORDER TO CERTIFY AND SUBMIT THE APPLICATION.

You will be able to leave the application process and return where you left off at any time, but your application will not be complete and will not be considered until you upload your essay and submit your certification.

All college transcripts must be postmarked by May 5, 2017.

To receive an FPMA Scholarship, an applicant must be a Florida resident meeting one of following criteria: (A) owns or is employed by an FPMA member company; (B) is a financial dependent of an owner of an FPMA member company; (C) is a financial dependent of an employee of an FPMA member company; (D) a child of a Dealer that is associated with a FPMA member in good standing. Eligible applicant must enroll in a minimum course load of twelve (12) hours. Receipt of the Scholarship award cannot be postponed. The Scholarship award is to be used for tuition and books only.

The Scholarship is for undergraduate students and can be used for in-state, out-of-state, private and public schools. Scholarships are awarded in the amount of $1,500.00 per semester (fall and spring) over a period of two consecutive years, for a total award of $6,000.00. Applicants in their senior year of college will receive the award for their final year in the amount of $1,500.00 per semester (fall and spring), for a total award of $3,000.00. All scholarship applicants must have a cumulative 3.5 minimum GPA (on a 4.0 scale) to apply for the FPMA Scholarship Award. Schoarship recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA while attending college in order to continue to receive scholarship disbursements.

High school applicants must include an ORIGINAL official, sealed high school transcript. Applicants who have been home-schooled must also include a sealed transcript that includes the same information. Applicants, who have already attended more than one year of college, must send ORIGINAL official sealed college transcripts. If original, official, sealed transcripts are not included or if this application is not completed in its entirety, your application will be considered ineligible and will not be considered.

The FPMA Scholarship will be awarded during the 2017 Sunshine EXPO® scheduled for July 20 - 24 at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee, Florida. The Recipients’ hotel accommodations are taken care of by FPMA for the night before the award presentation. Applicants receiving the FPMA Scholarship Award will be notified by email by no later than the COB on May 17th. The Scholarship ceremony will take place Sunday, July 23rd 7:30am – 9:00am at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee, Florida.
