The Federal Hemp Ban, How the Industry Can Move Forward
 
Congress recently passed legislation that will ban all non-industrial hemp products starting in November 2026.  FPMA has pulled together a panel of experts to talk about what Congress did and why, and how the industry and our allies can move forward to try and protect this category before the ban goes into effect.  You'll hear from Jon Taets, Director of Government Relations at NACS, Diana Eberlein, Executive Director of the Coalition for Adult Beverage Alternatives and Stoney Smith from our own Hudson Food Stores on this important topic.  
 
Our panel will provide background on the hemp debate at the federal level ultimately culminating in the recent ban legislation, what efforts are underway to roll back that ban, what regulation may look like at the federal level, and what steps retailers should be taking to not only help with the advocacy efforts but also prepare to comply with the law if it isn't changed.
