The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) has announced that the Florida Retail Fuel Transfer Switch Modernization Grant Program grant portal is finally up and running.
Instead of emailing handwritten forms or PDF applications, applicants can now submit applications directly online through the new portal here:
https://petrogrants.fdacs.gov/
This program continues to provide financial assistance to eligible retail fuel facilities seeking to install or upgrade transfer switch infrastructure to help ensure continued fuel availability during power outages.
Funding remains available for:
• Up to $10,000 per facility in fiscally constrained counties
• Up to $5,000 per facility in all other counties
Applications, along with all required supporting documentation, must be submitted by the first business day of each month. Applications will be reviewed and considered for award on a rolling monthly basis until all available funding has been exhausted.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
• Be a registered retail fuel facility compliant with Section 525.19, Florida Statutes
• Have a minimum of four fueling positions
• Not be a newly constructed or substantially renovated facility subject to Section 526.143(2), Florida Statutes
• Agree to participate in emergency response coordination as required by local or state emergency management authorities
• Submit a complete application package with all required supporting documentation
